Description

The Amprobe TMD-55W dual-input thermometer with built-in memory and datalogging, and wireless data transfer accepts two K-, J-, T-, E-, R-, S-, or N-type thermocouples, and is designed to measure two temperatures simultaneously in a variety HVAC, electrical, industrial, and automotive maintenance applications. The thermocouples support superheat and subcool applications, and cut-out and cut-in temperature measurements. The meter has an offset mode that can be used to compensate for thermocouple error. Dual-scale temperature readings range from -328 to 2,498 degrees F (-200 to 1,370 degrees C).Built-in memory saves up to 16 sets of data with 1024 data points, and datalogging capabilities save up to 128 samples with real-time data for later viewing. The meter has a back-lit LCD screen with data hold to save readings for later viewing, and displays minimum and maximum temperature with elapsed time, and average and relative temperature calculations. The device operates on four-1.5V batteries (included), which provides approximately 120 hours of use. The auto-power-off feature turns the meter off after approximately 15 minutes, and can be disabled. A low battery indicator helps prevent false readings. The meter includes two K-type thermocouples, a carrying case, one 9V battery, and instructions.Specifications Display resolution 0.1 or 1 degree F (0.1 or 1 degree C) Accuracy (with ambient operating temperature of 23 degrees C) + or - 5 degrees C at less than 75 percent relative humidity K-type thermocouple temperature range -328 to 2,498 degrees F (-200 to 1370 degrees C) Measurement rate 2.5 time/second Operating temperature 32 to 122 degrees F (0 to 50 degrees C), at less than 80 percent relative humidity Operating environment Indoors at altitudes below 2000 meters Storage temperature -4 to 140 degrees F (-20 to 60 degrees C), at less than 80 percent relative humidity Dimensions Approximately 6.3 x 3.3 x 1.5 inches (160 x 83 x 38 mm) (H x W x D) Weight Approximately 0.6 lb. (270g), with batteries installed H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Thermometers are used to measure temperature for various applications such as education, general purpose Quality Control (QC) labs and research lab testing, and for biological process monitoring.Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use.
